Ticaga 2.7.1 has been released Return

Posted by Michael Dance on October 7, 2026 13:54

We're pleased to announce the release of Ticaga version 2.7.1. This maintenance and security update improves email reliability, Live Chat visitor information and permission handling across the platform.

We strongly recommend that all customers update to 2.7.1 as soon as possible.

Security

This release includes security fixes across Ticaga's core features, bundled extensions and a third-party dependency.

To give customers time to update, security issue titles and full technical details will be published on 5 January 2027, 90 days after this release.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

Reliable Email Delivery

Fixed an issue that prevented ticket notification emails from being sent when a ticket had no assigned brand, including installations without Multi-Brand enabled. The same fix restores affected internal-conversation notifications.

Clearer Live Chat Visitor Information

Improved how visitor identity is displayed, helping agents distinguish unverified chat visitors from authenticated customers.

Customer API

Fixed customers created through the API losing their phone number.

SLA Tracking

Corrected permission handling for pausing, resuming and exempting tickets from SLA tracking. These actions now require the sla.manage permission, which administrators can grant to employees through Roles & Permissions.

Time Tracking

  • Restricted global Time Tracking settings to administrators and superadministrators.
  • Corrected time-entry permissions so users can only edit or delete their own entries unless they have permission to manage all entries.

Guest Ticket Handling

Fixed the ticket tag manager crashing when accessed by a guest.

Looking Ahead to 2.8.0

Development of Ticaga 2.8.0 continues, with further improvements to the update system and platform.
